Honestly, it’s probably time for Canada to step up. They don’t need to dedicate half their taxes to defense but it’s probably not a bad idea for them to be able to protect themselves.

Unfortunately this is probably going to backfire. Does red states have already had everything taken away from them. About half the red states are heading towards third world country territory and going there happily on the concept that the GOP might hurt someone else’s bad as they hurt.
