If I’m born with a 6th finger there’s not necessarily anything wrong with that but at the same time if I want it amputated that should be my choice and my right.
Accepting yourself is preferable but I think it’s just as valid to make choices about your own life if you can. Whether it’s a disease or not isn’t the issue.
Rogue isn’t making an informed decision. She’s just trauma reacting. If she were my patient, I wouldn’t sign off on a superpowerectomy until she’s made a proper effort to come to terms with her power and control it. Right now, she’s not fully of sound mind with regards to her power. She needs therapy before she can fully understand the choice she wants to make.
