      They aren’t readily available though. At least IRIS² should have a date associated: planned for 2027.

    One problem: The alternatives work on geostationary orbit while Starlink is on LEO. This means Starlink has fibre-like delay of ~60ms, while others are 230ms+

      Eutelsat

      OneWeb is owned by Eutelsat and i think that is the one they refer to in the article. OneWeb satelites use 450 km - 1200 km orbits so 3 to 8 ms delay assuming the signal goes straight up and straight down again.
