He’s got a Jerusalem Cross and Deus Vult tattoo. He’s literally a Christofascist cosplaying a crusader.
He’s literally a Christofascist cosplaying a crusader.
They’re the same picture. If anything the way he’s acting is more reflective of the actual crusaders than how westerners usually think of them.
What does deus vault mean?
“Deus vult” is a Latin phrase that means “God wills it”. It was a rallying cry for the Christian Crusaders during the First Crusade in 1096.
What about his white nationalist tattoos?
Those were actually his sole qualification for the job
Those are fine.
And that’s actually his LEAST offensive tattoo…
Kafir is also an apartheid Afrikaans (South African Racists) replacement word for the N-word, no jokes. America is a sad country of sadistic sociopathic psychopaths.
They are different words with one “f” and two “ff”s Kafir isn’t offensive. The other word is.
In Arabic there aren’t such distinctions between 2 f’s and an f. Kafir, Kaffir, Kafer are all transliterations with the same root k-f-r in Arabic.
The Afrikaners borrowed the word, from Kaffir which was used by Arabic and European settlers, merchants and administrators to refer to the black population since they were neither Muslims nor Christians (they were mostly animist or pagans) in Africa to mean all black non-muslims, ultimately borrowed (just as they do every symbol or words) by South African white minority settlers to derogatorily refer to black people.
How they spell it doesn’t really matter. It’s like N-word with an -er or an a, said by the wrong race is still racist however they spell it.
Arabic tattoo you say? Is this a Venezuelan gang tattoo? /s
Nah, he’s safe from deportation. There are no rainbows in any of his tattoos.
However, the sister of Neri Jose Alvarado Borges—a 24-year-old of Venezuelan descent deported to El Salvador this month—said relatives suspect that Immigration and Custom Enforcement officials used his tattoos, one showing the name of his autistic younger brother and another showing a rainbow-colored ribbon of the autism acceptance movement, to justify his illegal ousting from the US.
When the dudes own mother openly speaks out against how terrible he is, maybe we should listen.
Arab speaking Christians also use the same words to describe heretics
As an Arabic speaking Muslim, this is not how I wanted to get Western media representation.
Comes pre-labeled for your convenience!
Compared to his other tattoos, this one doesn’t even seem offensive or tied to any specific hate group. It would be similar to me getting an ‘excommunicato’ tattoo, viewed from my family who are all catholic and hate my atheism, or simply ‘blasphemer’ for the protestant second cousins. Should we get upset at all those who have demon/devil tattoos because they’re symbols of christianphobia?
Imagine believing that islamophobia/racism is the same thing as listening to slayer.
Bruh nobody is genociding your catholic family.
I read this as Pete Buttigieg at first and was very surprised.
