so i just watched the video, and miyazaki says it’s about believing in the abilities which we humans have, and while i agree, actually believing in technology (that humans create) does not contradict that. if anything, it might extend it.
It’s about the ethics of the thing. Using stolen data to create something is stealing. It’s unethical.
Not putting the work in to create something yourself means you’re not relying on your own skills. There’s nothing there to be proud of.
AI doesn’t create anything, it just throws the dataset it was given into the mixer and outputs it again in a different pattern.
