  • i think folks are in for a treat. As an avid egg lover one thing i have noticed about all the chinese eggs on Little Red Note is how well their chickens eat. Their eggs tend to have very firm, very orange yolks, much more like what i’m able to get from home raised chickens here. The chinese have a dish where they fill the yolk of an egg with sausage and boil the whole thing. I would never be able to do this with the kroger eggs i have to buy.

The store eggs available to me, even fancy ones, tend towards much paler, weaker yolks.

i suspect these imported eggs are going to be from well fed chickens, i doubt we will see any where i live but i would jump at the chance to just try them!

  • i’m not sure, I know it’s a rule on the /c/food comm where i mostly post but everyone does it across the instance. The reason is precisely as I stated above, it’s an easy and simple thing that makes our vegan and vegetarian friends feel welcome.

Marxism is all about acceptance and protection of marginalized people, because fighting capitalism and making a better world for people requires us to care about and support each other.

  • I’m vegetarian (trying to be vegan) but have to cook meat for others and i’m not really bothered by the sight. Some are truly bothered though, and i’m very confident that the simple label would give them all the info they need to not click, so that’s really who it’s for.

On my home instance of hexbear all animal products go under such a tag and i think that’s a very nice way of going about it so i keep it up when i’m in libland.

oh wow well shut me the fuck up! Please understand that i was NOT trying to invalidate you it’s just with the heart stuff i don’t want to give bad medical advice that leads to someone being hurt.

For me, one huge deep breath and then holding it would cause one spike of pain but then full release I assume as the fascia gets fully tugged back into alignment. Mine would generally be worse if i lay down especially on my side, that was usually when it would flare up!

It really did just stop completely in my late 30s or early 40s though, much to my relief

I had every one of these items including a transparent teal pager. i didn’t have many friends nobody ever paged me but if you were trying to fit in you thought it might help. My clear swatch was blue, had the little rubber face guard on it!

I did like the conair phones though I took the one pictured in the op image and turned it into a lineman’s handset (thanks 2600!). They were doing new home construction across the street from my home and I snuck over there in the night, hooked my handset up to the service drop and called 1-900 sex lines to troll the gals. Only they were getting paid and did not give a fuck they were happy to keep 13yo me on the line. I screwed something up and caused a huge spark and small boom and never went back because i was worried i had damaged something and they would be looking for me.

If you are young and occasionally get sharp stabbing pains in your chest while breathing in that go away and have no other symptoms you should tell your doctor of course but also learn about Precordial Catch Syndrome

Precordial catch syndrome (PCS) is a non-serious condition in which there are sharp stabbing pains in the chest. These typically get worse with inhaling and occur within a small area. Spells of pain usually last less than a few minutes. Typically it begins at rest and other symptoms are absent.

Learning about this greatly reduced random anxiety for me. And it stops when you get old yay!
