mechalesbian made a post, then satyew replied, then mechalesbian reblogged her own post with a screenshot of the reply (this is actually normal for Tumblr)
As someone who doesn’t use mainstream social media, I appreciate the clarification. Sometimes comments in a post are read in different orders. It’s especially confusing here because the middle is an embedded image, and sometimes with posts like this you’re supposed to read the embedded thing first.
Does it though? The other user implies that the OOP is a clown who is narcissistic and likes themselves.
Ah, that’s a reply. That screenshot is not particularly clear

And not only is it a reply, it’s a reply after OP boosted their own post (so it would bump the feed again).
Edit no wait I’m wrong. They boosted a reply they got. What even social media is this ?
tumblr. the reply is in a screenshot.
If the reply is in a screenshot then what was reblogged?
i don’t know actually, i’m not on tumblr.
To me the image looks like a combination of a screenshot of the first post, with a screenshot of the reblogged reply underneath.
But I haven’t been on Tumblr for years so idk
it took me some extensive rattling of the old brain box to process that joke
that’s exactly the explanation I needed!

Anyway, thank you!
Funnily enough, my experience with Tumblr is purely second hand through screenshots like this :D
