As original films like “Novocaine” and “Mickey 17” struggle and “Captain America” and “Paddington” sequels fall short, when will the box office rebound?

I thought Miki 17 was solid, part of the story felt a bit all over the place, but IMO it’s more tolerable for a satirical black comedy.

To be fair, I really like Sci-fi and Bong Joon Ho (discovered him via Memories of Murder way back when), so I am biased.

I read the original novel and mehed out early on. I heard the movie will be streaming soon anyway, so I’ll give it a try.

Yeah I honestly hadn’t even heard of this movie before today. Maybe there’s also a marketing issue

I’ve been wondering how continued cord cutting is playing a role in the movie business. It seems like live TV was one of the more aggressive marketing avenues for upcoming movies, but with fewer and fewer people watching traditional TV (and the ads they bring) there is bound to be some level of collateral damage.
