Probably sales from the looks of the numbers, which is way more important.

It’s a bit dramatic though, as much of the drop is from competition.

Nobody should be buying a Tesla in 2025. It literally funds Nazis.

I dont think people grasp that he doesnt really care about tesla anymore, his shareholders are having a stroke, but he personally, has other sources of wealth that are more important to his megalomania now, namely starlink and spacex, and all the government subsidies that come from them.

at the end of the day, tesla is just a car company, and when you’re a megalomaniac trying to design the entire world to your liking, thats small fry stuff

well, sort of. see, the way money works at that scale, everything is about leveraging stuff.

and a lot of his stuff is leveraged off tesla stock. so it won’t kill him, but it will at least make an example of him, and be a substantial hit to his assets. like, change the way he lives hit to his income.

edit: assuming the banks don’t just slobber all over his dick giving him a pass and free money. which they may.

I say this as an American.

You’re all better than us, a lot of people here voted for the Trump, and most of us are so successfully deluded by oligarch propaganda that many blame our powerless, homeless neighbors that we abandoned and betrayed for what the owners inflict on us.

We are gaslit beyond all hope. We can’t even agree as a society that our children should be fed, and this madness of greed and demented levels of toxic individualism didn’t start with Trump. It boggles my mind that people have actually wanted to immigrate here in my 40 years living inside this cesspool, only good at being an exporter of death and state mandated avarice.

Unless you’re wealthy, or are sociopathic enough to become so because sociopathy is what we reward, this is a garbage place of largely garbage people. Most here would rather burn ourselves and the world than disempower our capitalists, as that would be “socialism,” a word our captured government rebranded as a boogieman and that, by design, most Americans couldn’t actually define with access to one of our underfunded libraries and a gun to their head.

Agree. It’s the basic shit that defines the GOP as inhumane, like fighting tooth and nail to take what little low income families get from the government because you once saw a guy try to use his EBT card to get something non essential.

And fighting to take food away from children, literally, who have no say in what happens anyway. Fuck the GOP.

I appreciate the comment, we made our bed when a gun wasn’t to our head. Twice.

And I’ll argue to the end of the world that Reagan did more harm to this country and the world than Trump can ever hope to. You don’t get to Trump without the Economic betrayal, getting the people’s opposition party permanently on the oligarch take, and the war on science/knowledge/facts/education that get in the way of short term private profit without the Reagan/Welch revolution, that infected Europe too sadly, notably cooperation of message with that bitch Thatcher. The UK is basically a little Forward Operating Base for our greed disease and conversion of nation states into exploiters of their people now.

Trump is just the latest rot of the corpse of the shitty nation Reagan killed. He just isn’t remembered that way because feigned statesmanship as he sold us off piece by piece and set this slow coup in motion.

Don’t. Give. Your. Economic. Elite. A. Single. Centimeter. It’s too late for us, but you can be saaaaaaaaaaaaaved.

Al though I agree with a lot of what you say, I do follow some decent Americans on YouTube. There are also anti capitalist and free thinkers out there, but you know how it goes anywhere on the globe: the stupid are the loudest.

From what I see on YouTube, there are still a lot of people in the US who do boycott, who do protest. It is just that media does not show it. You know how media is. The good thing is you don’t need most of the chunk of the population to protest, but if the few percentage that do last long enough, you can make a change.

From what I see people organise themselves, and have strategies on how to act. And long enough boycotts are effective. You had in US history such effective boycotts. And people who are not willing to boycott or protest now, might slowly dip their toes into this mindset if there are enough examples for long enough around them.

Do not despair, if you do, they win. Act in any way you can, even if only boycotting the big players. Build communities and rely on yourselves. I mean, look at all the countries that are boycotting also. Their wallets will be affected and they will get scared.

The biggest difference is that European countries have parliamentary democracies. This means that everyone has a party that, at least to some degree, fits their needs and wants. I’m sure that if Americans realistically had more than two choices, things would be different.

A lot of Americans have drowned in the shit that comes from the Bullshit Mountain Ranges of Fox News, OANN and NewsMax, and whatever is on right wing talk radio these days.

Which is why a lot of them feared communism/socialism, if they voted for a Democrat. Which, looking from outside in, is so laughable, but the insidious nature of right wing propaganda has worked wonders.

The entire country is going to need a kind of deprogramming the likes of which no one has ever seen.

      Tank his net worth.

It’s not just his personal worth. Twitter purchase was/is largely dependent on Tesla stock. So he’s not only losing his own credit and should the trend continue some big players in investment business won’t be happy either. He has been an useful idiot on raising the stock prices, but he is very much sacrificial if the things go too far. I don’t know why he hasn’t been replaced already, but the trend in US of A seems to be that you can do whatever stupid shit you can come up with and keep doing that without consequences. So maybe the big players are still benefiting from what he and the other guy are doing.

The thing is, not really sadly. He pretty much gave up on tesla. Most of his money doesn’t come from Tesla but from spaceX, and he uses his new place and contacts at the government to get contracts and stuff with SpaceX and destroy the concurrence.

Tesla may be a bigger company, but he has more share in SpaceX, he has been selling Tesla for years.

I know what you saying but the average would be adding those percentages together and dividing by the number of countries listed, which is -44.7% and is not getting the total sales for each year across all countries and get that -47.7% shown as total and is a more meaningful number because those markets are different sizes
