Mitch McConnell didn’t just enable Trump—he architected the road to American fascism.

Burn in hell, Mitch.

Mitch never saw a “War with Russia” bill he didn’t endorse. He’s old school Neocon and was wholly on board with the project for post-Soviet US global hegemony. I don’t think its strictly fair to say “Russia Wins, America Loses” is his fault, because he was working overtime to get to a future in which Wall Street and The Pentagon controlled it all.

But his all-in bet on Moderate Amounts of Fascism tipped the board. He put far too much effort in winning the next electoral cycle in pursuit of a permanent Republican Majority. And when he finally got what he wanted - not once, in '16 but twice with a second GOP clean sweep in '24 - he looked up to discover the prize came with strings attached.

Turns out, the US isn’t the only country that can meddling with elections and affect regime change through soft power. Now we’re getting a wave of modern White Nationalism that’s aligning DC, Moscow, and perhaps London and Berlin depending on how the chips fall in the next few elections. Its not America or Russia that’s winning, but a cartel of plutocrats and their bloodthirsty groyper minions, in an unholy new internationalist Axis of Evil.

the deep irony is that the people electing the globalists are frothed up to do so by the fear of globalism.

Not these globalists though, it’s the (((globalists))) they’re afraid of.

I’m pretty sure that’s the “secret” notation for Jews these days but I don’t run in those circles so I could be wrong about that.

the right has no room in it to consider the possibility that the hippies, punks, black panthers, or any other anti-authoritarian movement, has a point until it’s already too late.

He’s not the majority leader any more, and without all the sycophants flattering and distracting him, it turns out that someone has been systematically sabotaging US democracy going back years.

Reminds me of German chancellor Franz von Papen. He was instrumental in bringing Hitler to power but he never accepted responsibility for it, even though he lived until 1969!

Entirely a product of his design, Russia would not be anywhere near as influencing today if not for his regressive agenda and undermining US democracy.

Without Moscow Mitch, Putin would still be at the Ukraine border throwing tantrum as more sanctions are thrown in his regime.

Technically he is the lone GOP senator to vote against 3 Trump nominees and to openly side with Ukraine.

If we celebrate him and a few more GOP jump on tbat bandwagon it could be phenomenal.

I guess I wouldn’t be all that upset if he died but it wouldn’t make any difference at all because the Republicans would still have a comfortable senate majority.

If anything it would probably make senators more afraid to oppose Trump.

Yeah, compared to the newest batch of anti-american traitorous qon scum, mcturtle is almost one of the good Republicans. And I threw up a little bit in my mouth even typing that.

But at least he had a pair enough to say that the polio vaccine is, well, a thing. Because he’s not a complete dumbfuck like some of these younger asshats, who are breeding all kinds of stupidity and awfulness to far surpass his version of conservative Republican. The new, younger assholes are just pure Dunning-Kruger Nazi 2.0 stuff.

People kept telling me - and keep telling me, in fact - that somehow the newer generation(s) are magical beings that will somehow save all the rest of us. Not sure I believe that for a second when the qons are cranking out people far fucking worse than old Mitch.

I hate that we’re still thinking about things in these terms. It’s not Americans versus Russians, it’s Americans, Russians, and pretty much everyone the fuck else versus our leadership. Putin fuckin sucks, so does our leadership, and it’s the people of the US, the people of Russia, and all the people we impact that pay the price for it. If the average Russian gets ahead in life over me, it doesn’t impact me. In fact, good job, bud, I’m happy for you. If our fucking asshole leaders get yet another leg up, though, it impacts basically everyone.

Gotta tell ya, there are an unfortunate number of Russians and Americans that support shitty leadership because they’re shitty people and they want shitty things to happen, and a bunch more that are willing to look the other way if they perceive it helps them somehow.

I said this years ago and got flamed on Reddit.

The oligarchs and the intelligence agencies of every major power are more friends than they are with citizens of their own nations. China and the US and Russia are friends at a certain income threshold. The enemy bullshit is for us peons
